SATShow Week is the satellite industry’s big annual meeting in Washington. The 2027 edition runs March 8–11 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW. Conference sessions run all four days. The exhibition runs March 9–11, according to satshow.com.
Access Intelligence produces it. Every attendance figure below comes from the organiser. CTN has not audited any of them. Where the organiser’s own pages disagree, this story says so.
What SATShow Week 2027 is
SATShow Week is the umbrella name for two events that share one exhibit hall: SATELLITE and GovMilSpace. The organiser calls SATELLITE “the largest and most influential satellite communications event in the world.” That is its description, not a CTN finding. The 2026 edition was the 45th.
Around those two sit add-ons. The Tech Seminar is an engineering track. Startup Space is a pitch contest. Inner Circle is an executive tier. CyberSat Exchange is a half-day security forum on March 11.
The organiser’s about page names Via Satellite as official media partner and Defense Daily as the editorial partner behind GovMilSpace. Both titles sit inside the Access Intelligence Aerospace Group, which also produces the show.
The week’s rhythm, per the schedule page: registration opens Sunday, March 7. Conference sessions start Monday, March 8. The exhibit hall opens Tuesday and closes at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
SATELLITE vs GovMilSpace: how they differ
SATELLITE is the commercial side. The organiser describes it as the place where engineers and business leaders “discover technology, meet partners, and get deals done,” from developers to decision-makers.
GovMilSpace is the government side. The organiser calls it “the only satellite-focused event designed specifically for government, military, and intelligence professionals,” powered by Defense Daily. Its listed topics include space-based ISR, geospatial and signals intelligence, cyber defense, space domain awareness, secure architectures and allied cooperation.
The content is unclassified. Sessions are not open submission; program chairs vet proposals for “mission alignment, operational grounding, and genuine value” to the government audience. And the two programs run in tandem, so one conference pass opens both.
The organiser says it launched GovMilSpace in 2025. It reported 650+ conference participants and 4,000+ show-floor attendees that year. For 2026 it reported 5,000+ attendees from defense, government and civil space. Those two figures are not like for like.
What’s new at SATShow Week 2027 vs 2026
The organiser’s own numbers first.
| 2025 | 2026 | 2027 (as promoted) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dates | March 10–13 | March 23–26 | March 8–11 |
| Attendees | 14,904 | 14,738 | 15,000+ |
| Exhibitors | 473 | 515 | 500+ |
| Speakers | 280 | 273 | Not announced |
On the organiser’s figures, 2026 attendance was about 1.1% below 2025 (CTN arithmetic). Exhibitors rose by 42. The 2027 “15,000+” is a promotional figure, not a result. Its schedule page says “450+ Vendors” while its other pages say 500+.
The organiser’s SVP of its Aerospace Group, Lindsey Fuller, wrote after the 2026 show that for 2027 it is “expanding the meeting hub,” “growing the Startup Pavilion” and “deepening the GovMilSpace program” for the intelligence and allied-nations community. Those are intentions, not results.
Other changes show on the pages:
- Earlier dates: the show moves up about two weeks from 2026.
- Tech Seminar rules: for 2027, accepted presentations need both a white paper and visual materials. The seminar lists 15 presentations. It was new in 2026, so it is not new now.
- CyberSat Exchange, year two: the organiser lists two themes: protecting systems that support critical infrastructure, and securing the rapid spread of AI. It expects about 175 participants.
- Inner Circle: this executive program is capped at 150 pass holders and runs under Chatham House rules, so sessions can’t be attributed. Its 2027 program is “in active development.” CTN could not tell from the pages whether it ran in 2026.
- Pass pricing: a 2026 preview post gave “starts at” prices of $2,099 for the Conference Pass, $399 for the Government Pass and $799 for the Tech Seminar Pass. The 2027 launch rates are $2,199, $699 and $799. The two sets are the organiser’s own, and the pass structures differ.
Who is announced so far: speakers, sessions and exhibitors
Five featured speakers sit on the homepage:
- Tahara Dawkins, Director of Policy, Astroscale U.S.
- Alain Fauré, Head of Space Systems, Airbus Defence and Space
- Greg Heckler, Deputy Program Manager for Capability Development, NASA SCaN
- Ramu Potarazu, listed as CEO of Elveo Mobile on the homepage and CEO of Lynk Global on the program page
- Janelle Teng Wade, Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners
CTN counted 45 sessions on the program page on Oct. 10: 14 on Monday, 15 on Tuesday, 13 on Wednesday and three on Thursday. Some have no named speaker yet. The Inner Circle entries say “More details to be announced soon!”
Named speakers on posted sessions include Sherin Kamal of the Joint Tactical Networking Center, listed under the “U.S. Department of War”; Declan Ganley of Rivada Space Networks; Andrew D’Uva of the Space Development Agency; Hervé Derrey of Thales Alenia Space; Dave Broadbent of SES Space & Defense; and Greg Heckler with NASA colleagues in a Thursday 9:30 a.m. session.
Ten startups have named themselves into the 2027 Startup Pavilion: Aule Space, Groundspace, Melagen Labs, OpenC3, Space Quarters, Spaceit, SPACEMAP, Starlaris, Stell Engineering and The Radiation Team. CTN could not read the exhibitor directory, which loads dynamically, and names no other exhibitors.

Why it matters to investors, enterprise buyers and government
For investors, the organiser says 15% of 2026 attendees came from strategy, capital and advisory roles. Startup Space, now in its 11th year, puts ten finalists on stage Tuesday, March 9. Bessemer’s Wade moderates two posted sessions, including one on military space opportunities for startups. A 5G NTN session says it “maps where capital is flowing” across the value chain. Inner Circle lists a capital-markets briefing, but it is closed.
For enterprise buyers, the program has topic filters for “Software, Cloud, & AI” and “Industrial / Enterprise Services.” Posted sessions include LEO-aware routing for enterprise networks, with Cisco’s Tom Kunath, and edge compute in orbit, with Vantor’s Mali Vander Leest. The organiser says 2026 drew more participation from aviation, telecom, energy, finance and cloud infrastructure. AWS Government appears on its 2026 notable-organizations list.
For government readers, the organiser says 34% of 2026 attendees were government or military. The posted program includes a session with Space Development Agency input on space domain awareness and a CTO Forum on AI integration, with Telespazio’s Luca Petronzio listed.
At least five posted sessions carry AI in the title. “AI in the Control Loop” has no named speaker yet; its description promises a look at what has moved from demonstration into production.
What to watch before March
These are open questions, not forecasts.
- Will the keynote lineup be announced, and who is on it?
- Will attendance pass 15,000, or stay near 2026’s 14,738?
- Does the exhibitor count land at 450, 500 or 515?
- How many of the 45 posted sessions gain named speakers, especially the AI sessions?
- Will the earlier date change who comes?
- Does the expanded GovMilSpace program add named intelligence or allied speakers?
- What does the 2027 Inner Circle publish, given its closed format?
- Do the organiser’s own pages converge on one exhibitor count and one country count?
- How do rates change after Dec. 11, when the Exhibit Hall Pass stops being free?
