Mistral launched a public preview of Mistral Large 4 on 6 Oct, a natively multimodal mixture-of-experts model with 1 trillion parameters and 52 billion active, which the company says it trained in its own European data centers. Weights are due 27 Oct; until then the company says it is red-teaming the model with cybersecurity leaders, vetted partners and state authorities.
