AMD Ventures, Intel Capital and the British Business Bank joined. The Oxford spin-out will scale manufacturing and open a second West Coast office.

Salience Labs, an Oxford and Münster research spin-out building optical circuit switches for AI datacenters, said on Wednesday it closed an oversubscribed $125 million Series B led by Bullhound Capital. AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, SBI Group, Hudson River Trading and the British Business Bank participated, with continued support from existing shareholders including Applied Ventures, Oxford Science Enterprises, Cambridge Innovation Capital and Silicon Catalyst Ventures. The British Business Bank said it invested £10 million as part of the round. Salience says the money will accelerate optical circuit switching deployment, scale volume manufacturing and expand its US presence, including a second West Coast office. The company demonstrated a 64-port all-optical switch at ECOC 2026; it has not named customers or given dates for 128- and 256-port products.
