Aimed at professionals and small business owners, the waitlisted preview sends daily briefs, watches connected apps and asks for approval before acting on a user’s behalf.

Anthropic on Wednesday announced a research preview of Claude Duet, an AI agent designed for professionals and small business owners. It can send daily briefs, keep track of connected apps and carry out tasks such as building dashboards, scheduling meetings and creating financial forecasts. “It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working even when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf,” the company said. Anthropic cautioned that the early version “still might misread a thread or miscalibrate what’s urgent.” Access is through a waitlist, starting with Pro and Max subscribers in the US, via a standalone app for iOS and Android or the Claude website. CNBC notes it enters a market where Meta launched Muse last month and OpenAI’s dots followed weeks later.
